STECON Group, a prominent leader in Thailand’s construction and infrastructure industry, established STECON Group Global

STECON Group, a prominent leader in Thailand’s construction and infrastructure industry, established STECON Group Global for offshore investments including high-growth, innovation-driven businesses (“New S-Curve”) in the fields of ‘Construction Tech’ and ‘Infrastructure Tech’ to access cutting-edge technologies that strengthen both the STECON Group’s core construction business and new business development for sustainable growth, and where the investment target ranges from early-stage startups to those in the growth stage.

One of the investments made was in ALICE Technologies, a U.S.-based technology startup that originated from research at Stanford University. ALICE is an AI-powered Construction Optioneering Platform that enables rapid generation, exploration, and updating of construction schedules, while simultaneously reducing both project costs and duration. The platform allows general contractors and project owners to run simulations of multiple construction sequences, compare scenarios, and select the most efficient project plan.

ALICE has a trusted client base of leading construction companies worldwide, spanning North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as strong support from global investors investing in its business. STECON Group participated in ALICE Technologies’ Series B funding round, alongside other renowned international investors. The objective of this investment is to adopt ALICE’s technology for the Group’s large-scale construction projects, enhancing operational efficiency and elevating our construction standards to global standards.

In addition, STECON Group also invested in Asperitas, a Netherlands-based technology startup specializing in Immersion Cooling Technology for data centers and digital infrastructures. Asperitas collaborates with Shell to continuously research and develop its Immersion Cooling Technology, which employs a liquid-immersion approach that demonstrates enhanced cooling efficiency and a significant reduction in energy consumption for data centers. This technology not only propels the development of ‘Green Data Centers’ or ‘Sustainable Data Centers’ but also supports circular energy (capturing and reusing energy generated). Furthermore, Asperitas also boasts a global client base across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

STECON Group invested in Asperitas as a lead investor in their Series A funding round, alongside other leading global investors, the government-backed investment funds of the Netherlands. This investment aligns with STECON Group’s strategic effort to build an ecosystem for digital infrastructure and data centers, marking a key step in advancing sustainable data center technologies in Thailand and the ASEAN region.

STECON Group’s investments in global technology startups extend beyond financial gains; they also serve as strategic access to breakthrough technologies, strengthening the Group’s capabilities across multiple business dimensions.
